Rishi Kapoor, Tariq, Kaajal Kiran and Zeenat Aman starrer Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin is directed by Nasir Hussain. Amjad Khan was seen in the role of antagonist in the film. Music Director R.D. Burman has composed the music of the film while the songs are sung by Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Sushma, R.D.Burman. The movie was well recieved by the audiences and went on to became a super hit. Veteran singer Mohammed Rafi won the National Film Award for Best Male Playback singer for the hit track ‘ Kya hua tera waada ‘ of the film.

Rajesh ( Rishi Kapoor) is a cabaret singer, whose recievd the news that his father has a heart attack while transporting the family’s wealth from Africa to Delhi, which has been converted into diamonds worth 250 million rupees by him. The daimonds are hidden in a leather belt. But the diamond-filled leather belt disappears. Rajesh meets two mysterious men, who tell him that the diamonds were stolen by a wealthy man named Seth Kishorilal. They ask him to trap Kishorilal’s daughter in his love and kidnap her so that they can get diamonds in exchage of Kaajal.

Rajesh plans to meet Kaajal as Manjeet. But before him another guy, Sanjay ( Tariq ) arrives there and introduce himself as Manjeet to Kaajal. But she get shocked to find out that the young man claiming to be Manjeet, is just a Manager. Then enters Rajesh as Manjeet. Rajesh gets succeed in impressing Kaajal. Meanwhile Sanjay reveals to Kaajal that he is actually her childhood friend with whom he promised to spend her whole life.
