Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic flick Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam stars Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles. The movie was released on 18th June 1999 under the T-Series Production House. Music Director Ismail Darbar has given the superhit music of the film. The movie was well received by the audiences as well as the critics. The movie became a huge hit in India as well as in overseas. The movie is the first one in which Aishwarya and Salman were seen together on screen. The film received many Filmfare awards including Aishwarya Rai’s Best Actress Award for her excellent performance in the movie. Ismail Darbar won National Award for Best Music Direction category.

Sameer ( Salman Khan ), who wants to learn Indian classical music from Pandit Darbar ( Vikram Gokhale ) becomes a guest of his family. Nandini ( Aishwarya Rai ) is the beautiful daughter as well as the most beloved daughter of Pandit Darbar. As Sameer comes to stay with the Darbar family therefore Nandini is asked to vacate her room to give the guest the nicest room they have. Nandini wants to take revenge from him for this and therefore plays various pranks on him. Sameer also plays several prnks on her in return. But very soon they realise that they have fallen in love with each other. When Pandit Darbar comes to know about this, he becomes furious with them.

Sameer is kicked out of the house. Sameer writes letters to Nandini asking her to join him. In the mean time, Vanraj ( Ajay Devgan ), who meets with Nandini in her cousin’s wedding, falls in love with her. Nandini’s parents also like Vanraj and arrange her marriage with him. But on the wedding night, Vanraj realises that Nandini loves someone else. Vanraj decides to take Nandini to Italy and search for Sameer. After a long search they finally get news about Sameer. Vanraj handover Nandini to Sameer and says goodbye to them. But now Nandini’s feelings have changed and she realise that she actually loves Vanraj. Finally she leaves Sameer to go after Vanraj.
