Govinda and Menakshi Shesdhadri starrer starrer bollywood romantic movie “Teri Payal Meree Geet” was released under the banner of Veetrag Films Legends in the year 1993. The story of the movie Teri Payal Meree Geet tells the love story of a prostitute and a poet, it shows how they have to face the society and its harsh reality. The movie revolves around Premi ( Govinda ), who earns his livings by selling his poems, one day he came across a beautiful girl Laila Jaan ( Meenakshi Sheshadri ) and fell in love with her. What he didn’t know that Laila is a prostitute and when he comes across this reality he is still in love with her, nothing can deter his love for Laila. To get close to her he decided to visit her work place.

He was astonished to see that she was performing on his poems, he decided to work at the place and stay close to her. Laila believed that she is someone special because people leave their beautiful wives to see her, but this myth about her was broken when in a party she realized the real thinking of the society towards prostitutes. She decided to leave her job and settle down and hence decided to go with Thakur, Premi was also with her. But in the morning Thakur is shcked to see her missing her and also there was no clue of Premi also. Now Thakur and his men are on the hunt of Premi and Laila.
