Yeh Vada Raha is a romantic comedy flick which was released in the year 1982. The movie stars Shammi Kapoor and Poonam Dhillon in lead roles. The other actors who have also played important characters in the film are Rishi Kapoor, Tina Munim, Rakhee Gulzar, Rakesh Bedi, Sarika, Gulshan Bawra, Hari Shivdasani, Jaya Bhadhuri, Gulshan and Iftekhar. The movie is directed by Kapil Kapoor and Produced by Ramesh Behl. The music of the film is composed by Rahul Dev Burman. Vikram Rai Bahadur (Rishi Kapoor) is a young and handsome, who belongs to a wealthy family. Vikram is the only son of Mrs. Sharma Rai Bahadur (Rakhee Gulzar). Vikram is the sole heir of the vast business and estate of Rai Bahadur empire. Vikram meets with a beautiful girl named Sunita (Poonam Dhillon) during one of his vacation trip. He falls head over heels in love with Sunita. Sunita too gets attracted towards hhim. Soon they both decides to tie knots with each other. Vikram and Sunita secretely gets married to each other. While returning to home, Vikram and Sunita meets with a severe accident. Vikram and Sunita gets hospitalised. Sunita is severely disfigured. Dr. Mehra (Shammi Kapoor) performs the plastic surgery of Sunita’s face.

Sunita recovers from the injuries and get shocked to see her new face. She then tries to meet Vikram but gets another shock in the form of Vikram’s engagement. Vikram is now engaged to another girl named Rita (Sarika), who is also from a wealthy background. Sunita comes to meet Vikram but he fails to recognize her. Sunita then decides to start a fresh life with the name of Kusum Mehra. Sunita’s one and only aim is to take revenge from Vikram and his family. She is determined to bring Vikram and his family on road. Vikram, on the otherhand, is totally unknown of the fact that Sunita actually survived in the accident. He was given the wrong information of Sunita’s death by doctors at that hospital.
