Romantic Thriller “Vaada” starred Arjun Rampal, Amtisha Patel and Zayed Khan in the lead roles was released on January 7, 2005. The movie is directed by Satish Kaushik under the banner of Puja Films. Other cast of the movie includes Alok Nath, Anjan Srivastava, Rakesh Bedi, Virendra Saxena, Rajesh Vivek, Achyut Potdar, Anil Saxena, Kuldip Sharma and Sharat Saxena. The melodious music of the movie is composed and directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs are sung by Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Babul Supriyo, Shaan, Anuradha Sriram, Kailash Kher, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kavita Seth and Sangeeta.

Satish Kaushik directorial Vaada is a romantic love triangle which turns into a thrilling sequence towards the second half. The movie had a relatively new plot that deviates from regular love triangles. The story of the movie revolves around three characters and the complications associated with their relations. The movie starts with Rahul ( Arjun Rampal ), a businessman who is happily married to Puja (Amisha Patel ). Their life was going on smoothly until one day when they met an unfortunate car accident. Rahul lost his sight but Puja was unhurt. Slowly he got accustomed to live blindly. On one of his foreign trips he met Karan ( Zayed Khan ).

Impressed by his business oriented dynamic mind he offered him a partnership in his business. Karan came along with him to India. Puja was petrified to see Karan with her husband, her was her college friend and lover during those days. Although he had strong faith in his wife but slowly he started suspecting that his wife was cheating on him. A cold war started between Karan and Rahul. Karan was obsessed for Puja and wanted her at any cost. In the midst of all this Puja commits suicide, and both were under the suspicion of her murder. The movie is a good romantic story in the first half and towards the end it becomes a suspense thriller. Overall the movie is a good multiplex product but it lacks supporters in the rural India.
