Raaj Kumar, Nana Patekar and Varsha Usgaonkar starred movie ‘Tirangaa’ is a action movie which is full of patriotism. The movie was produced and directed by Mehul Kumar. The movie was released in 1992. Other starcast included Vikas Anand, Aparajita, Rakesh Bedi, Arjun, Sudhir Dalvi, Satyendra Kapoor, Mamta Kulkarni, Sujit Kumar, Alok Nath, Suresh Oberoi, Manohar Singh etc in important roles. It was written by K.K. Singh and veteran duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal had given the music in the movie. Movie starts with Rudrapratap Chouhan (Suresh Oberoi) who is the Deputy Commissioner of Police and is a honest person. He lives a happy life with his wife and son named Harish. Since he is an honest person thats why he is always on the top of the list of many gangsters. Due to that reason he never travels alone without a weapon. But he always goes out for a horse-rides with his son without any weapons and thats the point where gangster Pralaynath Gendaswamy (Deepak Shirke)comes to know. He plans to kill him at that time and he succeeds. Harish witnessesthe killing of his father but he cannot do anything at that time. He decides to take avenge his father’s death but confused where and whom to start. Then after a new year’s party, police comes to Rudrapratap Chouhan’s home and arrest Harish.

Harish is arrested for raping and beating a woman named Radha Tandel who is the daughter of Central Minister in the Government, Jeevanlal Tandel (Manohar Singh). Radha is also the girlfriend of Arjun (Arjun) who is the only son of Gendaswamy. Police have all the essential evidence to convict Harish which also included the testimony of Dr. Gupta (Satyendra Kapoor) who is none other than his sweet girlfriend Sandhya’s father. He is about to lose all his hopes but the only ones who can save him are Inspector Shivajirao Wagle (Nana Patekar) and Brigadier Suryadev Singh (Raaj Kumar). But they have more important tasks to do like saving the country from being attacked by bombs, and the mysterious abduction of top scientists.
