The Bollywood movie “Strings” was released under the banner of Phoenix Productions on July 14, 2006. The movie is directed by Sanjay Jha. The movie stars Adam Bedi and Sandhya Mridul as the lead stars of the movie. Other cast of the movie which played important roles includes Vineet Kumar, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Sanjay Kumar and Deepak Kumar. The music of the movie is composed and directed by talented music director Zubeen Garg. The melodious songs of the movie are sung by Zubeen Garg, Shaswati, Brishti Saikia, Anandita Paul, Sourain Roy Choudhuri and Angaraag Mahanta.

Strings is another unique creation from the direction of Sanjay Jha after his movie Praan Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye that talked about the middle class Indian people living in a chal. The movie is based on the love story of a British young man and a traditional Indian girl. The movie caters to a selected group of audience. The movie relies on very thin plot and that too makes it more of a documentary rather than being a commercial movie. The movie doesn’t have much to showcase on the silver screen just a love story that is too ordinary baring the fact that the two lovers are from completely different worlds. The story revolves around Warren Hastings ( Adam Bedi ) a British citizen who is very impressed by the Indian culture and traditions.

An urban Indian girl Maya ( Sandhya Mridul ) brought him to Nasik to see the Maha Kumbh. He was allowed to stay at the place of a priest. The Priest had a lone child Krishna ( Tannisha Chaterjee ). After staying at Krishna’s place Warren started being attracted towards her. And soon both realized that they are in love with each other. A deep relationship started to be formed between the two cultures. The story of the movie is mostly occupied by the scenes of the Maha Kumbh. Started as a promising story the movie looks ordinary as it progresses further. The actors of the movie didn’t perform satisfactory, they are too ordinary to be called bollywood actors. Overall the movie is a complete waste of time and money.
