Vinay Pathak and Gul Panag starrer bollywood comic flick “Straight” was released under the banners of iDream Productions and Sony Pictures on March 20, 2009. The movie is directed by Parvati Balagopalan, while the movie is produced by Shripal Morakhia and Charlotte Wontner. Other cast of the movie in significant roles includes Siddharth Makkar, Achla Sachdev, Daman Baggan, Ketaki Dave, Anuj Chaudhary and Rasik Dave. The melodious music of the movie is composed and directed by Sagar Desai and Louis Banks while the songs are sung by Suraj Jagan.

The movie Straight comes up with a refreshing story line that tells the story of a man who is very low in confidence and afraid of girls. He is termed as a gay and he wants to prove that he is straight and hence the name. The movie revolves around the life of Pinu ( Vinay Phatak ), who is a very shy kind of person, he is very low in confidence and has big dreams. The movie is based in London, where Pinu lives with a Gujarati family after his mother and father lost their lives in a plane crash. He was adopted by this family of Jaisukh and Kanta, along with Pinu they have their own son called Rajat.

Pinu now owns a big Indian restaurant in the middle of the city of London, although he being very successful in his business he still vouches for things which he didn’t have. He is still far away from women unlike his brother Rajat who is a Rock star. He is still a virgin and now wants to marry, so he flew back to India in search of a bride but the girl he was supposed to marry just ran away with her guy. He returned back and pretended that he is married. His sober and dull life takes a completely different track when he came across a beautiful girl Renu ( Gul Panag ). Is he satisfied after this or there is something else he still vouches for?
