Songs of Shool
Manoj Bajpai, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty starred bollywood hit movie ‘Shool’ is an action, crime and thriller drama movie which was directed by E. Nivas. The movie was released on 5th November, 1999 and other starcast included Nagesh Bhonsle, Pratima Kazmi, Veerendra Saxena, Yashpal Sharma, Shri Vallabh Vyas, Ganesh Yadav and Rajpal Yadav in significant supporting roles. The movie was produced by A.V.S. Raju, Ram Gopal Varma and Kona Venkat whereas the story and screenplay of the movie was written by E. Nivas and Ram Gopal Varma. The dialogues were written by Anurag Kashyap and Sandeep Chowta gave the music in the movie. Sapna Awasthi, Sukhwinder Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Kavita Krishnamurthy etc sang the songs. Movie starts with Samar Pratap Singh (Manoj Bajpai) who lives a middle-class lifestyle alongwith his wife named Manjari (Raveena Tandon) and his little daughter named Sonu. He is an honest police officer and his wife is very supportive to him. But the main problem is that he has been transferred so many times due to his honesty. From every transfer, he has to build a new building of his house everytime. This time he is transferred in a small town of Motihari in Bihar. Motihari’s lord and master, so to speak is slimy MLA Bachu Yadav (Sayaji Shinde). The police and most of Samar’s colleagues goes to Bachu Yadav as they get frequent work from him.
This is not liked by Samar and he does not take interest in this. Bachu Yadav has been the MLA for 15 years but loses his ticket this time as his party opts for someone else. So he decides to take revenge and shoots the candidate and avails himself of the party ticket. Here Samar has frequent collisions with Yadav who later starts threatening his family and Samar. There is nothing which Samar can do.
