Shatrughan Sinha is a very famous bollywood superstar who was born on 9th December, 1949 at Patna, Bihar. He is also known as ‘Shotgun’ in the industry. He is now a politician. Shatrughan was the student of the Film and Television Institute of India. Shatrughan Sinha is married to Poonam and have three children in which one is his daughter Sonakshi Sinha who is a model and two sons (twins) named Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha. He moved to Mumbai with his bold decision to be an actor and and established himself as a superstar in the Indian film industry. He played mostly the villians roles in 1970s and 1980s in which he also got the success.

Shatrughan Sinha begin his career by playing the villianous roles and was immensely successful. One of his most popular villian role is in the movie ‘Raampur Ka Lakshman’. Then he started playing main lead roles like one of his main role is in Kalicharan which was directed by famous director Subhash Ghai. He was even more successful in solo starrers as well as multi-starrers. Some of his hit movies like Insaniyat Ke Dushman (1987), Dhokebaaz (1984), Chor Police (1983), Taqdeer (1983), Mangal Pandey (1982), Dostana (1980), Do Shatru (1980), Dillagi (1978), etc were appriciated by the film critics and also audience. His unique style of dialogue delivery made him apart from the other stars of his time. He has a heavy voice which puts an impact on the screen.
Apart from his acting he has also worked for his country. He was inspired by the great politician from Bihar Mr. Jai Prakash Narayan and decided to enter in politics. He was at the peak of his career in 1980s when he took this decision and joined Bhartiya Janata Party. He faced many obstacles at that time but he never gave up and this spirit made history by being the first member of the film fraternity to become a cabinet minister with the Government. He has won Bengal Film Journalists’ Association Awards - Best Supporting Actor for ‘Tanhai’ in 1973. Not only this he has also won “Pride of the Film Industry” at the Stardust Awards and Stardust Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2003. He has also done playback singing in the movies ‘Dost’ (1974), Jwalamukhi (1980) and Naram Garam (1981).
