Tusshar Kapoor, Ameesha Patel and Gracy Singh starred movie ‘Shart’ is a romantic drama movie which was directed by Puri Jagannath. The movie was released on 13th August, 2004 and other starcast included Amrita Arora, Snehal Dabi, Asrani, Vrajesh Hirjee, Pawan Kalyan, Shakti Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Himani Shivpuri, Rajpal Yadav, Prakash Raj etc in significant roles. The movie was produced by Trivikrama Rao T. whereas the story of the movie was written by Puri Jagannath himself. Movie starts with a guy named Karan who lives a wealthy lifestyle in India. His father (Anupam Kher) and mother lives in the United States of America. Here Karan runs an advertising company and therefore is very popular among people. Also he has fallen in love with his childhood friend named Sonam (Gracy Singh) who looks very attractive and gorgeous to him. Also he is expected to get married her soon. On the other side, Karan likes to get on challenges and bets and similarly, he ends up getting into a bet with Sonam. the bet is that he can romance any woman and get her to marry him. Therefore Sonam chooses another woman named Saryu (Amrita Arora) for him and then leaves for America.

Now Karan starts his task and woos Saryu. Soon he wins her heart and makes her fall in love with him. Later he comes to know that Saryu has a brother named Nanda (Prakash Raj) who is of very possessive nature and does not wants Karan in her life. He also threatens Karan out of her life or he will severely beat him. But Karan takes the challenge and is determined to meet Saryu at any cost. Here Nanda informs Saryu that Karan is in love with Sonam and soon both of them are expected to get married. She confirms from Karan and finds it right. After that she tries to kill herself and later rushed to hospital by her brother. Later Karan comes to know that Sonam had literally forced him to take this bet for a devious reason and he had became a puppet of Sonam.
