Shakti Kapoor is one of the most famous and vulnarable bollywood actor of 1980s and 1990s who was born on 3rd September, 1948 in Mumbai (Maharashtra). He is famous in bollywood for his comic and villainous roles that he had done very perfectly. He is married to Shivangi and has a son named Siddharth Kapoor and a daughter named Shraddha Kapoor. His son Siddharth Kapoor was recently arrested in a pub. Apart from his villainous roles that he played in the movies, he is also known for his comedy roles which he has played un over hundred bollywood movies alongwith another superhit comedian Kader Khan. He has appeared in more films than most actor or actress in the industry.

Shakti Kapoor made his debut in the bollywood with the movie ‘Kahani Kismat Ki’ which was directed by Arjun Hingorani in the year 1973 in which he has played a small role alongwith Dharmendra and Rekha. The movie did not bring him any recognition what so ever. He continued to struggle for movie acting opportunities and once again got a golden opportunity when he played in the superhit movie ‘Jaani Dushman’ in 1979. He once again went unnoticed under the light of Sunil Dutt, Rekha, Shatrughan Sinha, Vinod Mehra, Sanjeev Kumar and many more prime actors. But this movie gave him a platform from where he can show his talent and the things changed for him after that. He got a chance of acting in the blockbuster movie ‘Qurbani’ in 1980 which was directed by late Feroz Khan. He starred alongwith Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman, Feroz Khan and Aruna Irani.

That movie was superb action flick which opened all the doors for him in the bollywood. He started getting main villainous roles such as in the movie ‘Dance Dance’ in which he played as Shakti. In mid 1990s he went on for a makeover of his villainous image. He first got his major comedy role in the movie ‘Raja Babu’ in 1994 where he played as Nandu alongwith Govinda and Karishma Kapoor. He was appreciated for his performance in the movie and also he has won the Filmfare Best Comedian Award in 1995 for this movie. He is a regular fixture in Priyadarshan directed movies such as Hungama (2003), Hulchul (2004), Chup Chup Ke (2006), Malamaal Weekly (2006), Bhagam Bhag (2006) and Bhool Bhulaiya (2007). He has starred in about 413 movies which is a world record.
