Sapna Mukherjee is a famous bollywood playback singer who has sang for most of the leading actresses in the industry such as Sridevi, Sushmita Sen, Rekha and many others. She was first noticed by Kalyanji-Anandji. She made her bollywood playback singing debut in the year 1986 with the movie ‘Jaanbaaz’ which was directed by Feroz Khan and the music of the movie was given by Kalyanji-Anandji. She sang the song “Ek To Kam Zindagani..Pyar Do Pyar Lo” which was picturised on the ravishing Rekha. The song became a superhit and she was shot to the fame after that song. She is well trained in classical singing and having the potential to become the leading singer in the industry.

Sapna Mukherjee could not gain great heights like her contemporaries Alka Yagnik and Kavita Krishnamurthy as she is full of talent. The song “Oye Oye” from the movie ‘Tridev’ in 1989 was hit and she will remember for the naughtiness and spunk in her voice. She gave her voice to the songs of the movie ‘Mr. Bechara’ in 1996 where she sang “Dekho Dekho Baarah Baje” which became another success in public. She has also sung in some superhit movies such as Corporate (2006), King Uncle (1993), Khiladi (1992), Bewafaa (2005), Raja Hindustani (1996) and many more. She has sung the song “Pardesi Pardesi Jana Nahi” in the movie ‘Raja Hindustani’ which became a superhit song and she was appreciated for her performance.

She has also given a Parody song in the movie ‘King Uncle’ in 1993 which starred by Jackie Shroff. The song “Khud Ko Kya Samajhti Hai” from the movie ‘Khiladi’ was once again proved to be successful and she never looked back. Later she gave some staggering performance in the movie ‘Andaaz’ in 2003 where she sang “Rabba Ishq Na Hove” which was picturised on Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra. She was once again applauded for the song “Cham Se Vo Aa Jaye” in the movie Dus in 2005. She worked in an album entitled ‘Mere Piya’ in which she gave several solo performances as well as a duet with popular singer Sonu Nigam.
