Sameera Reddy is a bollywood actress who was born on 17th December, 1982 at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Her ancestors are from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. She has two sisters named Meghna Reddy and Sushma Reddy who are models. She is the youngest daughter of her parents. She was graduated from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai. She did a few modelling jobs and then decided to move in the field of acting. She has appeared in Telugu and Tamil movies such as Jai Chiranjeeva (2005) and Vaaranam Aayiram (2008). She has given some awsome performances in some hit and successful movies at the box office.

Sameera Reddy made her bollywood debut in the year 2002 with the movie ‘Maine Dil Tujhko Diya’ which was directed and starred by Sohail Khan. She played the role of Ayesha Verma, a shy college girl who falls in love with him alongwith Sanjay Dutt. The movie was average but the song “Thoda Sa Pyaar Hua Hai” became a hit which was picturised on her. She was applauded for her role in the movie. She was getting more offers from various movies by the time. She next starred in the movie ‘Darna Mana Hai’ in 2003 which was directed by Prawal Raman. She played as Shruti and was appreciated. After two more flops she had her breakthrough role with the movie ‘Musafir’ where she played as Sam who loves Lucky but married to Lukka.

Sameera failed to give big blockbuster successes like other actresses who managed to make their mark in bollywood. But she has given many successful movies in south cinema. Her recent Tamil acted movie was ‘ Vaaranam Aayiram’ directed by Gautham Menon which proved to be a hit. Some of her hit movies are Musafir (2004), Taxi Number 9211 (2006), Fool and Final (2007), One Two Three (2008) and Darna Mana Hai (2003). She came in the limelight after doing the role of Rupali opposite John Abraham in the movie Taxi Number 9211. She was appladued for her performance in the movie.
