Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan was born as Abdul Rashid Salim on December 27, 1965. He made his acting debut in the year 1988 with a supporting role in Rekha starrer Biwi Ho Toh Aisi. He finally made his debut as a leading hero in 1989 released hit movie, Maine Pyaar Kiya. He won Filmfare Best Male debut Award for his peformance in the film. His next few films did a poor show at the box office but he bounced back with a hit in the form of Saajan. He was starred alongside Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit in the film.

The biggest hit of his career came in the form of Hum Aapke Hain Kaun which also satrred Madhuri in the female lead opposite him. He then did a superhit comedy flick titled Andaz Apna Apna alongwith Aamir Khan. He then changed his loverboy image to an action star with Rakesh Roshan’s reincarnation action drama, Karan Arjun, in which he co starred Shahrukh Khan. He won several acclaims for his superb acting in Khamoshi : The Musical opposite Manisha Koirala. He gave another hit in the form of a romantic film titled Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya opposite Kajol.

After giving some flops in past, Salman made a successful comeback with 2003 released Tere Naam. He worked in some hit comedy films as well such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, No Entry etc. But his movie, Salaam-E-Ishq failed to do well at the box office. He then starred alongside Govinda in the hit comedy flick Partner. He also hosted a game show titled Dus Ka Dum in the year 2007. He made a special appearance in latest released Hello. His latest film Heroes is also getting good response at the box office.
