The movie Pyar Ke Side Effects is the directorial debut of the newcomer Saket Chaudhary. He has narrated the story in his own way. Unlike the other movies of this genre, he has used the comic way of presenting the story. The movie had a great storyline and to back it up a great screenplay has helped the movie succeed on the box office. The movie talks about the love relations of a working couple and the problems associated with their relation. Especially when it comes to the commitment issue the movie talks about a typical urban couple and its thinking before marriage. The story of the movie revolves around two characters and their life: Trisha ( Mallika Sherawat ) ran way from her marriage and started working in Mumbai. She met a DJ Sid ( Rahul Bose ), who lives his life to the fullest. They felt in love with each other very quickly.

But like all other couples, the issue of commitment started creeping into their relationship. After consulting all his close ones, finally Sid proposed his girlfriend for marriage. She accepted the proposal graceful. Gradually Sid started feeling the burden of his new found relation. Trisha takes him with her to meet her parents, her father is a retired army officer who is always pushing to keep Trisha away from Sid. He tries to demine him in front of Trisha’s old friend and ex-fiancé ( Jas Arora ). Soon they started facing much indifference and they parted their ways. In the midst of their broken relation, Trisha agreed to marry Jas Arora again. But after realizing that he cannot move in his life without her, he went to Delhi to get her back. The movie is wonderfully directed by the newcomer and also the lea actors have performed brilliantly.
