Ajay Devgan and Kajol starrer romatic movie Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha is directed by Anees Bazmee. The other starcast of the film includes Om Puri, Vijay Anand, Kashmira Shah, Tiku Talsania and Reema Lagoo in pivotal roles. The movie was released on July 24, 1998. Music Director duo Jatin Lalit has given the superhit music of the film. The list of the singers includes the famous names of Kumar Sanu, Jaspinder Narula, Remo Farnandes, Abhijeet, Udit Narayan, Asha Bhonsle, Alka Yagnik etc. The movie went on to became one of the biggest musical hit of that year.

Sanjana ( Kajol ) lives in France with her uncle and his fiance, Rahul ( Vijay Anand ). Rahul visits India for a business trip. Sanjana don’;t want to send him alone to India and therefore decides to accompany her there. But because of her fear as she is scared of flying, she drops the idea of accompanying Rahul to India. After few days, Sanjana gets a call from Rahul who informs her about his new girlfriend, Nisha ( Kashmira Shah ). He also tells her that soon he is getting married to Nisha.

Sanjana furious with the news travels to India. She wants Rahul back to Paris at any cost. She meets with a guy named Shekhar ( Ajay Devgan ). Shekar is a theif who has stolen a daimond necklace from Paris. Shekar puts the stolen necklace in Sanjana’s bag for preventing himself from the Airport checking. Sanjana is completely unkown to the fact of having stolen diamonds in her bag. Now Shekar has to accompany Sanjana in her search for Rahul for getting back his diamonds. But in the process Shekhar finds himself falling in love with Sanjana.
