Priyanka Chopra is a very famous bollywood actress and former Miss World who was born on 18th July, 1982 at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. She was born to Ashok Chopra and Madhu Akhauri both of whome are doctors by profession. She spent her childhood in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, in Newton, Massachusetts and in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She has a brother named Siddharth who is seven years younger than her. She studied at St. Maria Goretti in Bareilly and La Martiniere Girls’ School in Lucknow. She has also studied in Newton’s Newton South High School in Newton, Massachusetts and then in Cedar Rapid’s John F. Kennedy High School in Massachusetts and Iowa respectively. She went to Jai Hind College in Mumbai but left after winning the Miss World crown.

She made her acting debut in the year 2002 with the Tamil movie ‘Thamizhan’ which was directed by A. Majid. She played the role of Priya opposite actor Vijay in the movie. She has also done playback singing in the movie. She made her bollywood debut with the movie ‘The Hero: Love Story of a Spy’ which was directed by Anil Sharma in 2003. She played the role of Shaheen Zakaria who gets married to Sunny Deol. The movie was one of the highest grossing of the year. Then she appeared in her another movie named ‘Andaaz’ which was directed by Raj Kanwar in the same year. She appeared alonwith Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta in the movie. She also won the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for this movie and also nominated for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award.

Later she starred in the movie ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ directed by David Dhawan in 2004 where she played as Rani Singh, the daughter of Colonel Dugraj Singh opposite Salman Khan. She has also won the Filmfare Best Villain Award for the movie Aitraaz. Not only this she has also won Star Screen Award for Best Actress , Stardust Star of the Year Award - Female and ultimately the Filmfare Best Actress Award on 28th February, 2009.
