Songs of Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon


Joy Mukherjee and Asha Parekh starred movie ‘Phir Wohi Dil Laya Hoon’ is a romantic movie which was produced and directed by Nasir Hussain. The movie was released in 1963 under the banner of Nasir Hussain Films. Other starcast included Rajendra Nath, Veena, Krishan Dhawan, Tabassum, Ram Avtar, Kanchanamala, Ranjeet Kumar, Pran, M.B. Shetty etc in significant roles. The movie was written by Nasir Hussain himself whereas the music of the movie was given by famous O.P. Nayyar. Movie starts with Jamuna (Veena) who lives alongwith her husband. But there is nothing right between them and a valley between them getting wider and wider. One day she decides to leave him alongwith their son named Mohan. But he does not permit her to take their son. Seeing no any other options, she arranges his abduction and later gets disappear from her husband’s life. Several years later, Mohan (Joy Mukherjee) has grown up and lives a middle-class lifestyle alongwith his mother. Later, one day Mohan comes across a beautiful and attracted woman named Mona (Asha Parekh). Soon both fall in love with each other and want to marry. But her guardian would like her to marry Biharilal (Rajendra Nath).

Biharilal alias Difu is foreign returned and also has a wealthy background. Later Mona goes to Srinagar alongwith her friends and Mohan also follows her there. Then Jamuna comes to know about her husband who is overjoyed and announces the return of his son, Mohan. She is shocked to listen this as the man claiming to be her son, is none other than an impostor named Ramesh (Pran). Now she has to come in front of him to get him know the truth.
