Sunil Shetty, Masumi Makhija, Mahesh Manjrekar and Johnny Lever starred bollywood movie ‘Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav’ is a comedy movie which was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The movie was released on 28th January, 2005 under the banner of Kria. Other starcast included Gulshan Grover, Sharat Saxena, Kim Sharma, Anupama Verma, Supriya Karnik, Kunika, Kalpana Pandit and Shashikala in significant supporting roles. The movie was produced by Manek Bedi and Sagoon Wagh whereas Vinay and Yash wrote the movie. The dialogues of the movie were writeen by Sanjay Pawar. The movie has nothing to do with the political background. It starts with Padmashree Divakar Kashyap (Masumi Makhija), Lalchand Dilachand (Sunil Shetty), Advocate Prasad Pritam Pradyuma (Mahesh Manjrekar) and Yadav (Johnny Lever). Padmashree has a boyfriend named Lalchand Dilachand alias Laloo who has a psychological disorder named ’shesightophrenia’ in which he goes out of control whenever he sees a good looking girl. Due to his this weakness he is also famous as a playboy among the girls. Both of them are in search of some family diamonds that were reportedly stolen by a Mr. Saxena.

Laloo threatens and questions the terrified Saxena with his cigarette-lighter pistol and as a result he dies. The problems are created and the duo has to find those diamonds of their own. Their search brings them to South Africa where they meet a person named Advocate Prasad Pritam Pradyuma. He is the legal counsel for gangster Johny (Gulshan Grover) who is being held by the police as a suspect in a bank robbery. They also meet with his assistant named Yadav (Johnny Lever).
