Neetu Singh is a very famous bollywood actress who was born on 8th July, 1958. She is married to Rishi Kapoor who is also a famous actor in bollywood. She have two children named Riddhima and son Ranbir Kapoor. Her daughter is fashion designer and recently married to a Delhi based industrialist named Bharat Sahni and her son Ranbir Kapoor is a bollywood actor. She was very popular in 1980s as she gave many hit movies during that period. She worked as a child actor in the 1966 movie named ‘Dus Lakh’ where she played the role of ‘Roopa’. She was named as Baby Sonia in her childhood. Not only this, she has also played double role in the movie Do Kaliyan in 1968.

Neetu Singh made her debut in the year 1972 with the movie Rikshawala. She got the role as leading lady but the movie was flop at the box office. Her next movie was Yaadon Ki Baarat in the next year (1973) where she was given a small role. The movie became a superhit and she was noticed for her sizzling dance number to the song “Lekar hum”. She brought so much attention that she was immediately elevated to heroine roles again. She was casted as fun-loving, ‘optimistic’ or ‘lively’ girlfriend in most of the movies at that time. She danced with most of the stars in her movies including Rishi Kapoor and acted in about half a dozen movies with him. Then they married in 1979 after a much publicized engagement that was the talk of bollywood.

She was at the top of her career in 1979 and also starred in the movie ‘Kaala Patthar’ in the same year for which she was nominated for a Filmfare Award as Best Supporting Actress. She retired after marriage as it was customary for actresses married in Kapoor family to retire after marriage. But before retiring she had given many hit movies such as Aashiana (1974), Deewaar (1975), Aadalat (1976), Parvarish (1977), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Kasme Vaade (1978), Dharam Veer (1977), The Great Gambler (1979), Kaala Patthar (1979), The Burning Train (1980) etc. She starred mostly with all actors such as Jeetendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra etc. She was also appreciated for her role in the movie ‘The Burning Train’ in 1980.
