Songs Of Mr. X In Bombay

Kishore Kumar, Kumkum and Madan Puri starred movie ‘Mr. X In Bombay’ is a comedy and adventurous movie whih was directed by Shantilal Soni. The movie was released in 1964 under the banner of Thakkar Films. Oter starcast included Randhir, Mohan Choti, Leela Mishra, Tun Tun, Kesari, C.S. Aasie, Jeevan Kala, Munshi Munakka, Polson and many more in important roles. The movie was produced by C.M. Thakkar whereas the story of the movie was written by R.P. Ashk. Evergreen music of the movie was given by famous duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal. List of playback singers included Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar etc and famous lyricist Asad Bhopali and Anad Bakshi wrote the lyrics of the songs. Hit songs of the movie are listed below:

Movie starts with a beautiful and attractive toung woman named Shobha Mathur (Kumkum) who lives a wealthy lifestyle alongwith her father (Randhir). Her father is a professor who is now carrying out experiments on various issues. Later one day he succeeds in making a drink and wants to test this on someone. Therefore he calls an employee named Manohar and makes him drink that portion. Unfortunately, this results in Manohar’s death. Then comes a man named Rajan (Madan Puri) who helps in getting rid of that dead body. But he also starts blackmailing Mr. Mathur and wants him to get agree for the marriage of Shobha with him.

Here Shobha comes across a young man named Sudarshan (Kishore Kumar) who is a poet. Later both of them fall in love with each other and Sudarshan wants to marry her. But when he asks her for this, she refuses. This breaks his heart and he leaves a note for her informing that he is going to kill himself. Next day Shobha gets that letter is shocked after reading it out. From then she starts to hear Sudarshan’s voice every night blaming her for his death. Now Sudarshan is out of the race and therefore Rajan is all set to marry her.
