Shatrughan Sinha, Reena Roy and Danny Denzongpa starred movie ‘Milap’ is a horror and thriller movie which was directed by B.R. Ishara. The movie was released on 12th September, 1972 and other starcast included Manmohan Krishna, Fazlu, Sarita, Fatik Mazumdar and many more who played equally important roles in the movie. The movie was produced by I.M. Kunnu whereas the hit music of the movie was given by famous Brij Bhushan Sahni. List of playback singers included some very famous names, Asha Bhosle, Mohammad Rafi and Mukesh etc. The lyrics of the songs were written by famous Naqsh Layalpuri. Movie starts with Ravi (Shatrughan Sinha) who lives a very wealthy lifestyle in a city. He is the only child of his parents and therefore all his wishes have been fulfilling by them. This lads to his destruction in terms of moral values as well as social values. He has now become an addict of drugs, alcohol and women without whome his day does not starts. Later one day he gets frustated from his habbits and lifesyle and therefore decides to relocate to some peaceful place such as in hilly area. At last he re-locates to an isolated hilly region to try and put his life together. There he takes a room on rent which is looked after by a young and beautiful woman named Rani (Reena Roy) and her father named Raghunath (Fazlu) who is a widower.

Soon both of them fall in love with each other. Then Ravi comes to know that Rani is a Snake Charmer who has been estranged from her lover named Raju in an earlier life. Also she has an admirer named Raju (Danny Denzongpa) who has also asked her father to get her married with him. He is shocked to know that Raju is a century old venomous shape-changing snake who can change into human at any time he wants. Raju wants to get intimate with her so that he can make Rani his own forever. There is no known power to stop him.
