The movie Mere Bhabhi comes up as a typical bollywood family drama movie that revolves around the lives of the family members. The story of the movie focuses on the life of a young man called Raju ( Sunil Dutt ), he lived a happy life with his family that consists of his elder brother and his wife Shanti ( Kamini Kaushal ). Raju treated Shanti as his mother as she had taken care of him from his childhood. One day Raju came across a beautiful girl called Maya ( Waheeda Rehman ) and immediately lost his heart to her. Soon Maya also fell in love with him and they decided to marry. Raju told his Bhabhi about his girlfriend and soon their marriage was arranged.

After the marriage Maya and Raju started living with their Bhaiya Bhabi, all the family members were very happy to live together and this happiness grew even more when both the females got pregnant at the same time. Tragedy struck them when Shanti met an accident and lost her baby. Shanti was not informed about the demise of her kid, Raju and Maya gave their kid to Shanti telling her that this is her kid. Soon problems started creeping in the family as Shanti didn’t like Raju and Maya getting too close to her kid. One day she humiliated them and threw them out of her house. What happens next?
