Madhuri Dixit is a beautiful bollywood actress who made her debut in the Hindi film industry in the year 1984. She was born on 15 May 1967. She is married to an NRI Dr. Shriram Nene. She is a trained Kathak dancer. Though her few film in the start of her career failed to get success at the box office but she shot to stardom after doing the female lead in Anil Kapoor starrer action thriller Tezaab. She gave a series of hit films opposite Anil Kapoor in the form of Ram Lakhan, Parinda etc. She also played one of the female lead in multistarrer action flick tiled Tridev.

Her next hit came in the form of Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt starrer Saajan where she played the female lead opposite them. She got a nick name of ‘Dhak dhak girl’ after she featured on a hit senseuos song in the movie Beta. The movie also did well at the box office. Later she starred opposite Sanju baba in action flick Khalnayak in which she played a cop for the first time in her career.

She delievered another hit in the for of family drama Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and won Filmfare Best Actress award. She starred opposite Shahrukh Khan and Karishma Kapoor in Dil To Pagal Hai and earned Filmfare Best Actress award. Her acting in SRK and Aishwarya Rai starrer Devdas earned her the Filmfare Best Supporting actress award. After a long ga, she returned to bollywood movies with dance base movie titled Aaja Nachle but the movie failed to get success at the box office.
