The movie Love and God is a typical bollywood romantic movie, it tells the famous story of Laila Majnu in a relatively newer way. The story of the movie focuses on the life of two small kids Majnu and Laila. They used to love each other right in their child hood, they wanted to marry each other when they grow up into adults. But this passion of these two was left mere to dreams only as their parents were very strong enemies of each others. They were dead against the playing of their kids together, leave apart the thoughts of marriage.

The movie takes an unexpected turn here when both the lovers were separated from each other. But this separation didn’t mean their love story ended here, but it grew even stronger. Time passed by and both laila and Majnu grew up into young man and a girl. Majnu was called as Kais ( Sanjeev Kumar ), he started looking for his separated love interest Laila ( Nimmi ), everywhere from street to street. He went along with the beggars and finally one day Majnu managed to find his love Laila, they were very happy to get together but the society thaught this relation as illegitimate, and they decided to throw stone on them. This melted the hearts of Kais’s parents and they decided to forget their enmity and they pledged Laila’s parents for their marriage.
