Shammi Kapoor, Nutan Behl and Prem Chopra starred moive ‘Latt Saheb’ is a movie which is full of action, comedy and romance. The movie was released in 1967 under the banner of International Enterprises and other starcast included Murad, Om Prakash, Rajendra Nath, Lalita Pawar, Vandana, Ram Avtar and Indira Billi in significant roles. The music in the movie was given by famous duo Shanker-Jaikishen whereas Jagdish Kanwal was the writer of the movie. List of playback singers included Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammad Rafi who gave their melodious and soulful voice to the songs. Hit songs of the movie are listed below:

Movie starts with Jugnu (Shammi Kapoor) who lives a very poor lifestyle in Kashmir alongwith her mother (Lalita Pawar) who is a widow. He is a woodcutter by profession and that is only the way through which he can earn something for himself and his mother. His mother has a fear that her son Jugnu will die soon after Dassehra and therefore she always keeps on praying for his well-being and safety. She also tells him to be careful all the time. But Jugnu in front of his mother always says yes and later does always opposite. He usually gets into fights and one day he kills a man-eating tiger.

Soon he meets a gorgeous girl named Nikki Rana (Nutan Behl) who is in danger. Nikki is the only daughter of Jugnu’s employer. He saves her twice by risking his life. Soon both fall in love with each other. But their romance does not like by her estate Manager named Prem (Prem Chopra) as her wheelchair-bound father has chosen Prem for Nikki as her life partner. Later some circumstances compel Jangu’s mother to change her mind about his long life and safety and she not only curse but also viciously assault and wish him dead.
