Kimi Katkar is a former bollywood actress and a successful model who was born on 11th December, 1965 at Mumbai, Maharashtra. She was a popular actress of 1980s and the early 1990s. She is married to Shantanu Sheorey who is a commercial photographer and advertising film producer. She was popularly noted to be the ex-girlfriend of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. She was first noted for her role of Ruby Shetty opposite Hemant Birje who acted as Tarzan in the movie ‘Adventures Of Tarzan’ alongwith Raja Duggal, Narendra Nath, Om Shivpuri and Dalip Tahil. The movie was directed by Babbar Subhash in 1985.

Kimi Katkar came in notice for her wet white dress which she wore in the movie. Later she starred in the movie ‘Hum’ which was directed by Mukul Anand in 1991 in which she played the role of Juma Gonsalves alongwith Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda and Rajnikanth. The very famous song “Jumma Chumma De De” was picturised on her and Amitabh Bachcan and the song became a superhit. She was appreciated for her role in the movie and that song gave a boost to her career. She has also starred in the movie ‘Kala Bazar’ befor starring in ‘Hum’ in 1989. the movie Kala Bazar was directed by Rakesh Roshan in which she played a small role of a bar owner alongwith Anil Kapoor, Farha Naaz, Jackie Shroff and Johnny Lever.

Then she headed to her next movie ‘Inteqam’ which was directed by Rajkumar Kohli in 1988 in which she played a role alongwith Sunny Deol, Anil Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor and Meenakshi Sheshadri. Her another blistering performance came in the movie ‘Gair Kaanooni’ in the year 1989 in which she played the role of Rita alongwith Govinda and Sridevi. She was again applauded for her role in the movie. She has also starred in the movie ‘Ustaad’ opposite Vinod Khanna in 1989. Later she retired from the industry and pursue her married life. She was once again appeared on lifestyle cum food television show which was co-hosted by Karen Anand.
