Songs of Keemat

Dharmendra and Rekha starred movie ‘Keemat’ is an action packed movie which was directed by Ravikant Nagaich. The movie was released in 1973 under the banner of Bharati International Films. Other starcast included Prem Chopra, Satyendra Kapoor, Rajendra Nath, Murad Puranik, Murad, Agha, V.D. Puranik, Kirti Kumar, Ranjeet, Padma Khanna, K.N. Singh etc in supporting roles. The movie was produced by P. Mallikharjuna Rao whereas the dialogues of the movie were written by Vishwamitter Adil. Evergreen music of the movie was given by famous Laxmikant-Pyarelal and the list of playback singers included Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Ajit Singh. Movie starts with Indian Chief of Secret Service (K. N. Singh) who is very tense as the attractive and beautiful young women are lured by some criminal elements who promises them of giving wealth, a better life and acting in movies. But they are never heard of again. So he decides to hand over this case to the agent 116 who is none other than Gopal (Dharmendra). He accepts this case and gets involved in it deeply. Soon he comes to know about a yacht allegedly carrying a number of these young women. He intercepts and that yacht but finds that the yacht is empty and the girls have been drowned and killed. A young woman named Sudha (Rekha) volunteers to go with the criminals.

She is doing this because her sister named Nanda (Padma Khanna) has been missing. She does not know that Gopal is tracking her. Later he moves to an island where these women are ferried. What Gopal and Sudha do not know that the island is outside the jurisdiction of India or any country for that matter. All these women are sold there to the highest international bidder. Those who do not confirm to the rules are either shot dead or let lose and hunted down savagely by killer dogs and armed hunters.
