“Jurm” a Bollywood thriller was directed by Vikram Bhatt under the banner of K P S Films. The movie starred Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta in the lead roles. The movie was released on February 18, 2005. Jurm a Vikram Bhatt directorial seems to be inspired by two successful Bollywood movies Humraaz and Fiza. Most of the story of the film seems to be directly copied from the two. The plot of the movie is about a man cheated by his wife and then framed for her murder. The story of the movie revolves around the life of a business magnet Avinash ( Bobby Deol ). He was happily married to a beautiful wife in the form of Sanjana ( Lara Dutta ). Their life was going on smoothly until one day when shocking news shattered his life. He found out that his wife was cheating on him for another man.

The movie takes a strange turn when his wife was murdered and he was falsely framed for the murder. His good friend Rohit ( Milind Soman ), a lawyer by profession decided to take his case in the court. But Avinash realized that instead of being proved innocent he was continuously trapped deep and deep into the case. The only person who was all along with him through his trouble was his friend Sonia ( Gul Panag ) who was in love with him but never managed to tell him. As he went the evidences a shocking truth came alive. Who is the culprit? Would Avinash be proved innocent? Overall the movie is a great entertainer during its initial period but after the first half when the suspense is revealed it becomes erratic.
