Sunil Dutt, Sanjeev Kumar, Shatrughan Sinha, Vinod Mehra, Rekha, Reena Roy, Neetu Singh, Bindiya Goswami and Sarika starred bollywood hit movie ‘Jaani Dushman’ is an action, hriller and horror movie which was produced nad directed by Rajkumar Kohli. The movie was released in 1979 under the banner of Shankar Films. Other starcast included Vikram, Yogeeta Bali, Neeta Mehta, Aruna Irani, Amrish Puri, Shakti Kapoor, Raza Murad, Jagdeep, Sulochana Latkar etc in important roles. The screenplay and dialogues of the movie were written by Jaggi Rampal and Inder Raj Anand respectively. Music was given by Laxmikant-Pyarelal and Anuradha, Asha Bhosle, Mahendra Kapoor, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammad Rafi sang the songs. Hit songs of the movie are listed below:

Movie starts with Thakur Jwala Prasad (Raza Murad) who lives a wealthy lifestyle and is soon about to marry the girl of his dreams. On the day of his marriage the girl wears the bride’s dress as it is the tradition. But what Jwala does not knows that the girl loves someone else and does not wants to marry him. Just before the wedding she slips off to meet her real lover. Jwala Prasad when comes to know, becomes a real monster and he finds out his to-be bride and her lover and brutally kill both of them. After that he continues to terrorize the whole region. He first abducting brides dressed in red just before the wedding procession stops at a temple.

One day while he stops the wedding procession, the to-be groom confronts with him and eventually kills Jwala Prasad. But this is not it as his spirit leaves the body of Jwala Prasad and possesses the body of it’s killer. Later the terror continues in the region. Many years later another man kills him and his spirit comes in his killer. The police of that region confronts him but shocked to see that there is no harm to him as the bullets cannot harm it. The suspense mounts as one by one the brides are killed and no one seems to have a clue. There everybody seems to be suspect.
