Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor starred movie ‘I Hate Luv storys’ is a romantic comedy movie which was directed by Punit Malhotra. The movie was released on 2nd July, 2010 under the banner of Dharma Productions. Other starcast included Bruna Abdalah, Sammir Dattani, Samir Soni, Aseem Tiwari, Aamir Ali, Anju Mahendru etc in significant roles. The movie was produced by Hiroo Johar, Karan Johar and Ronnie Screwvala whereas the story and screenplay of the movie were written by Punit Malhotra. The music of the movie was given by famous duo Vishal- Shekhar and Salim-Suleiman has done background score. Movie starts with a beautiful and gorgeous young girl named Simran (Sonam Kapoor) who lives a peaceful and happy lifestyle. She is a working woman and is also engaged with a guy named Raj (Sameer Dattani) who also loves her too much. Simran loves bollywood romantic storys and also wants to make a romantic movie. Later Simran goes to a theatre where she comes across another young man named Jay (Imran Khan) who makes her irritate too much. This leaves a bad impression of him in her mind. Whereas Jay is a kind of guy who hates love stories. According to him, love is a sickness which must be cured. Whereas Jay is working as an assistant to a director who is famous for his love story films. Next day, Simran is shocked to find Jay as her assistant.

Then she decides to take revenge of her insult in the theatre but stops when sees his soft and clean heart. Soon a bond creates between both of them and later Simran finds that she is in love with him. But this creates chaos in her engaged life with Raj. Whereas she dreams of spending her whole life with Jay and invites him to a hotel dinner. But she is shocked to see him kissing another girl’s hand. Then she expresses her love for him but he explains to her that he never thought of her that way. Then she moves to New Zealand for further shooting of the film. Then Jay realises his love for her and also that she is going far away from him. He plays a drama with his friend Giselle (Bruna Abdullah) but later both meet and share their feelings for each other.
