Dharmendra, Anil Kapoor, Kimi Katkar and Meenakshi Sheshadri starred bollywood movie ‘Humlaa’ is an action movie which was directed by N. Chandra. The movie was released on 29th May, 1992 and the other starcast included Ashok Kumar, Anupam Kher, Om Shivpuri, Shafi Inamdar, Ashalata, Mukesh Rishi, Johnny Lever, Sulabha Deshpande, Sudhir, Mac Mohan, Dinesh Hingoo etc in supporting roles. The movie was produced by Madan Mohla whereas the movie was written by N. Chandra himself. Good quality of music was given by famous duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal whereas the songs of the movie were rendered by Nitin Mukesh, Alka Yagnik, Amit Kumar, Anuradha Paudwal and Mohammd Aziz. Movie starts with Devkishan Sharma (Ashok Kumar) who lives a middle class lifestyle alongwith his wife and two sons named Bhawaniprasad (Dharmendra) and Shivprasad (Anil Kapoor). He is a school teacher and lives in a small town. His son Bhawaniprasad later choses the path of crime to earn his livelihood. When Devkishan comes to know about Bhawani, he asks him to leave the path of crime and to lead a honest lifestyle. But Bhawani refuses to do so and then Devikishan orders him to leave the house which he does. Now his hope is his younger son, Shiva who is an educated man, tries to find jobs but in vain. The he decides to leave for Bombay and to re-locate there.

When he reaches in Bombay, meets with his old friend named Madanlal (Johnny Lever) who tells him about Bhawani who is a big businessman. Shiva goes to him and he is welcomed by Bhawani who is none other than his brother. But soon Shiva comes to know that Bhawani is a smuggler who is wanted by police. But befor Shiva can confront with him, he is shot to wound by another gangster named Jagtap (Anupam Kher). Bhawani is hospitalized and then Shiva decides to take over from here. When Bhawani comes to know about Shiva, he asks Shiva to go home to the parents. But he refuses and getting humiliation, he joins Jagtap to take revenge from his brother.
