Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Dharmendra and Moushumi Chatterjee starred movie ‘Hum Kaun Hai’ is a suspence movie which was directed by Ravi Sharma Shankar. The movie was released on 3rd September, 2004 under the banner of 4U2C Films. Other starcast included Hansika Motwani, Master Aman, Prem Chopra, Vikram Gokhale, Suhasini Mulay, Abhijit Lahiri, Master Vicky etc. in significant roles. The movie was produced by Soni Juneja whereas the story of the movie was written by Talat Rekhi. The music of the movie was given by Sanjoy Chowdhury. The movie got average reviews from the audience.

Movie starts with an aged woman named Mrs. Sandra (Dimple Kapadia) who lives a wealthy lifestyle in a palatial house alongwith her two children named Sara (Hansika Motwani) and David (Master Aman). Also she has three other person, a maid, butler and a gardener in the house. Later one by one, she finds her servents mysteriously disappeared. Then she writes a letter to the local employment agency to get replacements. On the other hand, Mrs. Martha Pinto (Moushumi Chatterjee) alongwith Edgar (Abhijit Lahiri) and Maria (Seema Rahmani) who is a dumb woman, also apply for these vacancies. Later Sandra hires them and also makes them understand about her children.

She explains that the curtains are to be drawn at all times and they must remain silent at all time as as she gets migraines by any loud noise. Also there is no electricity and all work must be done during the daytime. Later Sara tells her mom that she has noticed other people in the house that are visible to her only. She also draws a picture of a male, a female, their son named Vicky (Master Vicky) and an elder woman with magical powers. At first, Sandra cannot believes her but later she also feels the presence of someone in the house and decides to investigate. Then she is shocked to see her letter which she had written to the local employment agency is still lying in the mailbox.
