Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit starred bollywood superhit movie ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ is a movie full of romance and comedy. The movie was directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and it was released on 5th August, 1994 under the banner of Rajshri Productions. Other starcast included Mohnish Bahl, Renuka Shahane, Anupam Kher, Reema Lagoo, Alok Nath, Bindu, Satish Shah, Himani Shivpuri, Dilip Joshi, Dinesh Hingoo, Sahila Chaddha etc in important roles. The movie was produced by Ajit Kumar Barjatya, Kamal Kumar Barjatya and Rajkumar Barjatya whereas the screenplay and dialogues of the movie were written by Sooraj R. Barjatya. Movie starts with Prem (Salman Khan) who lives a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his elder brother named Rajesh (Mohnish Bahl). He is a brilliant student and is learning the business under his brother and uncle named Kailashnath (Alok Nath). One day a marriage proposal comes for Rajesh from another town. As the fate brings the two families together soon the date of marriage is announced. The day of marriage comes and Prem there meets with Nisha (Madhuri Dixit) who is the loving yonger daughter of the bride, Pooja. Soon he falls in love with her. As the time passes by Pooja becomes pregnant and Nisha is invited to take care of her sister. She comes to see her sister and stays there till the birth of the child.

Prem also wants this as it is the big opportunity for him to express his love for Nisha. both of them commit their love for each other and dream of a happy life. But fate has decided something else for them as Pooja dies after a sudden fall down a flight of stairs. Everyone become shocked after this and Rajesh is now worried about his motherless child. Then Nisha’s father suggests Rajesh to marry Nisha as she is the only one who can love the child as his own mother. Prem and Nisha decide to sacrifice their love for the sake of the family. Soon Rajesh comes to know that Nisha loves Prem and they only sacrifies their love for the sake of their family. He puts his child to Nisha’s arms and bless both the lovers.
