Amrita Arora and Isha Kopikkar starrer “Girl friend”  was directed by Karan Razdan. The movie was released on June 11, 2004. It was produced by Pammi Baweja under the banner of S P Creations. The other cast of the movie includes Ashish Chowdhry. The movie was shot in the beautiful locations of Mauritius.  The melodious music is give by Dabboo Malik.  The songs of the movie are sung by Shreya Ghosal ,Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Soumya Raoh, Dabboo Malik, Kumar Sanu, Abhijeet, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Vaishali Samant.

Girlfriend is another off the track story. It basically talks about homo sexuality. It is a love triangle but of a different kind. The main thing is that one of the characters is lesbian but the other is dragged toward it. The story is about Tanya ( Isha Kopikkar ) and Sapna ( Amrita Arora ). They are best friends since college time. But Tanya is quite possessive about Sapna. She doesn’t let any guy try to hook up with Sapna. Tanya had to leave for some reason and during this time Sapna meets Rahul ( Ashish Chawdhary ). They met and fell in love. But when Tanya came back she got mad. Her anger and possessiveness was outrageous and headed on Rahul.

Tanya could not resist herself from fighting Rahul. There were hidden desires in Tanya. She wanted Sapna and no one else. The sensation in her mind led to having physical nearness and love toward Sapna. She tried to keep Sapna to herself as much as possible by telling lies to Rahul. Sapna unaware of Tanya’s motive and feelings got into her skin. But all this started boiling up Rahul. He tried to make Sapna understand, what was going on.  The movie is new thing to Bollywood and was not entertained by the audience. No one can say any thing about acting because people went to see only the skin show. But the movie had a story which was lousy. It seems that no one took the movie seriously and thus it turned out to be a very big flop.
