Songs of Ghaath
Manoj Bajpai, Tabu and Om Puri starred bollywood movie ‘Ghaath’ is a crime oriented and thriller movie which was directed by Akashdeep. The movie was released on 1st December, 2000 and other starcast included Anupam Kher, Sheeba, Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi, Mukesh Tiwari, Irrfan Khan, Johnny Lever, Makrand Deshpande, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Tinnu Anand, Aparna Sen etc in significant roles. The movie was produced by Kumar Mohan whereas the dialogues of the movie were written by Neeraj Pathak. The music was given by Salim-Sulaiman and Anu Malik whereas list of playback singers included Sapna Awasthi, Hariharan, Shabbir Kumar, Kay Kay, Anu Malik, Shantanu Mukherjee, Falguni Pathak etc. Hit songs of the movie are listed below:

Movie starts with Romesh Bhagwat Dogra (Irrfan Khan) also known as Mamu, who spends an easy lifestyle in Bombay. He is the underworld don and also has unlimited contacts with many judges. He has almost entire police force under his control due to corruption. Due to his contacts he never gets arrested instead of doing illegal activities. Soon he is crossed by a young idealist young man named Krishna Patil (Manoj Bajpai). Krishna is a trainee who is in training to be a police inspector. Mamu does not like this and ensures that he never pass the training. Later Krishna comes across Ishwar Mohanlal Ghodbole (Mukesh Tiwari) and has a fight with him as he a drunken and corrupt police inspector. He beats Ghodbole very badly.
Later Ramakant (Anupam Kher) who is Krishna’s father comes in front and begs Ghodbole to forgive his son. He also bribes him to leave him alone. But Ghodbole beats two of Krishna’s friends in the lock up. Here Krishna takes help of a rogue inspector Ajay Pandey (Om Puri) and a lawyer named Kavita Chaudhary (Tabu) to release his friends from the jail in which they succeed. Krishna has a sister name Mansi (Sheeba) who gets married with Divakar (Arshad Warsi) but unfortunately they both died due to collapse of the building in which they live. Then Krishna and his friends decide to kill Mamu and anyone else who gets in the way.
