Jackie Shroff and Dimple Kapadia starrer bollywood drama “Gardish” was released under the production of R Mohan on September 10, 1993 while the movie is directed by Priyadarshan. Other cast of the movie that played significant part in the story includes Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Mukesh Rishi, Asrani, Raj Babbar, Suresh Oberoi, Rakesh Bedi, Shammi Kapoor, Tej Sapru, Anu Kapoor and Ashwini Bhave. The movie Gardish tells the story of a father and son, the movie also portrays the clash of the dreams of a father and son. The movie is woven around the life of a police inspector Purushottam Sathe ( Amrish Puri ), an honest and brave police officer. He is the father of a young son Shiva Sathe’s ( Jackie Shroff ). Purushottam wants his son Shiva to dawn the police uniform and fight against the raging crime in the city. Vidya Bhalla ( Ashwini Bhave ), a beautiful girl bumped into Shiva one day and lost her heart to him, love nlossomed between the two and they decided to marry each other.

One day Purushottam arrested a criminal who happens to be the relative of a politician. The politician got him transferred into a far off place where criminals ruled the whole area. As Purushottam was getting acquainted with the people at new place he came to know that the area is ruled by a local don Billa Jilani ( Mukesh Rishi ). But one day this don was beaten up bu none other than Shiva who took his place. When Purushottam came to know that his son has become a criminal, his dreams of making him a police officer were shattered into pieces. He arrested his son and tried to interrogate him in the remand. What happens next? Will Purushottam be able to bring his son on the right track?
