Feroz Khan is one of the famous actors from bollywood who was born on 25th September, 1939 at Bangalore, Karnataka. He is son of Sadiq Ali Khan Tanoli who was an Afghan originally from Ghazni province of Afghanistan and his mother Fatima was from Iran. He has two brothers Sanjay Khan and Akbar Khan. He did his schooling from Bangalore and then moved to Bombay (Mumbai). He is also spelled as Firoz Khan or Feroze Khan in the industry. He is also a film director, producer and film editor. He was married to Sundari and has a son named Fardeen Khan who is also a popular actor in the bollywood and a daughter named Laila who is married to Indian tennis player Rohit Rajpal.

Feroz Khan made his debut in the year 1960 with the movie Didi where he played the second lead role. Then he was forced to play second lead role in most of the movies for the next five years. He made low-budget thrillers opposite beginners in the early 1960s-1970s. He has also appeared in an English-language movie titled ‘Tarzan Goes to India’ in 1962 where he played opposite actress Simi Garewal. Then he starred in the movie ‘Oonche Log’ directed by Phani Majumdar in 1965 which was his first big hit in his career. He played the role of a sacrificing lover in the movie Arzoo same year which set him into A-list second leads. His performance was getting improved by time and he won the first Filmfare award for Best Actor in UNSupporting Role for the movie Aadmi Aur Insaan in 1969.

He appeared in the movie Mela which was directed by Prakash Mehra. He starred with his real brother Sanjay Khan and Mumtaz in the movie. He was a leading bollywood star in movies and often directed and starred in many of his movies throughout the 1970s and 1980s. His biggest hit of his career was ‘Qurbani’ which was directed by himself. He starred in the movie with Vinod Khanna and actress Zeenat Aman. He has launched his son Fardeen Khan with the movie Prem Aggan in 1998 which became failed at the box office. He has produced, directed and acted in ‘Janasheen’ in 2003 with his son. He has most recently appeared in the movie Welcome in 2007. He was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000. He also got the Filmfare Nomination as Best Villain for Janasheen (2003).
