Shyamali, Rameshwari, Prem Krishan and Madan Puri starred movie ‘Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaaye’ is a musical family drama which was directed by Lekh Tandon. The movie was released in 1977 under the banner of Rajshri Productions. Other starcast included Iftekhar, Leela Mishra, Sunder, Shivraj, Utpal Dutt, Savita Bajaj, Viju Khote, Jagdeep etc in significant roles. The movie was produced by Tarachand Barjatya whereas the writers of the movie were Vrajendra Gaur, Madhusudan Kalekar and Lekh Tandon. Ravindra Jain scored the music of the movie and Hemalata and K.J. Yesudas were included in the list of playback singers. Hit songs of the movie are listede below:

The movie starts with Harkishan (Madan Puri) who is a wealthy businessman and lives a wealthy lifestyle in his palatial house. He has a grandson named Prem (Prem Krishan) who is a womanizing and is blind in the lusture of his granfather’s wealth. He also lives with his grandfather in the same mansion. Harkishan wants Prem to settle down and get married so that he can look after the business. But Prem is not ready for this and clearly refuses to do so. He will only marry to his girlfriend named Rita Mathur (Shyamali), is one of his conditions to get married. So Harkishan reluctantly grants him the permission to marry her and wants to set a date for the marriage. But it does not happens as his health fails and he suffers a heart attack.

Now he has a fear that may be he does not live for too many days, he asks Prem to introduce him to his bride-to-be, Rita. So Prem brings Rita to home where she is welcomed by everyone. Harkishan looks her and approves her on the first look. Now Rita starts looking after him and as a result he starts gaining his health. After few more days he fully entrusts her and gives her the keys to the household as well as to the safe. But Harkishan does not know that Rita is not actually Rita but is, in fact, a street florist named Kammo (Rameshwari). Now she starts to run the lives of Harkishan and Prem on her own terms.
