Akshay Kumar, Ayesha Jhulka and Farheen starred movie ‘Dil Ki Baazi‘ is a family entertainer movie which was produced and directed by Anil Ganguly. The movie was released on 7th May, 1993 under the banner of R.V. Films. Other starcast included Paresh Rawal, Rakhee Gulzar, Laxmikant Berde, Anupam Kher, Navin Nischol, Anju Mahendru, Ajit Vachani, Annu Kapoor, Viju Khote, Sheetal etc in supporting roles. The story and screenplay of the movie were written by Anil Ganguly and Ram Kelkar respectively and the dialogues were written by Madan Joshi. Music was given by Raam Laxman and list of playback singers included Amit Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Udit Narayan, Balasubramaniam S.P. and Alka Yagnik. Hit songs of the movie are listed below:

Movie starts with Vijay (AKshay Kumar) who lives a poor lifestyle in Bombay alongwith his mother Nirmaladevi (Rakhee Gulzar). His mother is working as a Manager for a young woman’s hostel. Vijay is looking for a job but is unable to find any kind of job as he has no previous experience and whenever he finds a job, a fix amout as a bribe is demanded from him which he is unable to give. Therefore he is totally depends on his mother. Once Vijay meets with a beautiful girl named Aarti (Ayesha Jhulka) and both of them fall in love with each other. Later Aarti arranges a meeting between Vijay and her father named Daulatram (Anupam Kher) and soon he gets Vijay to work in his firm.

Soon Vijay joins the firm but Ajay (Avinash Wadhavan) who is the only son of Daulatram’s boss named Vishwanath Kashyap (Navin Nischol), dislikes Vijay and gets him fired. Then Daulatram introduces Vijay to Santosh Kumar (Paresh Rawal) who gets impress by him and hires Vijay. But Vijay does not know that Santosh Kumar alias Bhogilal is wanted for murder and is using him to get even with the Kashyap family as he had been jilted by Vishwananth’s wife named Lalita (Anju Mahendru). Later Vishwanath passes away and the secret of his first wife comes out.
