Songs of Dhan Daulat


Rishi Kapoor, Rajendra Kumar, Neetu Singh and Mala Sinha starred movie ‘Dhan Daulat’ is a family movie which was directed by Harish Shah. The movie was released on 11th January, 1980 and other starcast included Prem Chopra, Sujit Kumar, Prem Nath, Pran, Madan Puri, Jagdish Raj and Sajjan in important supporting roles. The movie was produced by Vinod Shah whereas music of the movie was given by famous Rahul Dev Burman. List of playback singers included Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar and Master Raju. Movie starts with a child who is left by someone in a truck. Mangat (Prem Nath) who is the driver of the truck sees the child and adopts him. He takes him to his wife named Buaji (Mala Sinha) who is readily accepted the child and decides to take care of him. She also named him as Lucky. After several years Lucky (Rishi Kapoor) has now grown up in the city of Bombay. Once he meets a beautiful and attractive girl named Shanti (Neetu Singh) and eventually falls in love with her. He decides to approach her father (Madan Puri) with the proposal of marriage but he is humiliated and asked to leave.

Then Lucky decides to win Shanti’s heart. Well fortune gets in his favour and he becomes the owner of a fancy car and a palatial bunglow. The he once again comes to Shanti’s bunglow in his car and her father welcomes him. He once again proposes for Shanti but she refuses to marry him. Lucky gets isolated from Mangat, Bajirao (Pran) and Buaji who are well aware that Lucky has accumulated this wealth by unfair means with the help of Raj Saxena (Rajendra Kumar). Now its upto Lucky whether he goes for new wealth which he has found or goes for Shanti, Mangat, Bajirao and last but not the least Buaji.
