Uday Chopra, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Irrfan Khan, Namrata Shirodkar and Jimmy Shergill starred movie ‘Charas: A Joint Operation’ is an action packed movie which was directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. The movie was released in 2004 and other starcast included Varun Badola, Adam Bedi, Kenny Desai, Rajiv Gupta, Jahangir Khan, Sanjay Mishra, Kabir Sadanand, Don Whalen, Anup Soni etc in significant supporting roles. The movie was produced by Anjum Rizvi whereas the songs of the movie were sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, K.S. Chitra, Mahalakshmi, Shantanu Mukherjee, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Sowmya Rao etc. Music of the movie was given by Raju Singh. Hit songs of the movie are lsted below:

Movie starts with Dev Anand (Jimmy Shergill) who is leading an easy lifestyle. He has a friend named Sam Higgins (Adam Bedi) who is from London, England. One day Sam Higgins goes missing in the Ladakh region of India and thereafter Dev decides to locate him. He also travels there but to his surprise, the whole region is quite different from the rest of India. Later he comes to know that Indians are regarded with suspicion and distrust there and the majority of the population appears to be Spanish, Italians and other foreign nationals. So he decides to take help from local police and soon he does finds a Police Station but again shocked as there is no help for Dev.

On the contrary people from there suspect him of being a smuggler of illicit drugs and ammunition. On further enquiry he comes to know that if he has to find Sam then he has to meet with a mysterious man named ‘Policeman’ (Irrfan Khan). He also comes to know that this region is well-known for its opium production which attract foreigners. Quite unknown to him, he himself has become a target for the dreaded ‘Policeman’.
