Vishal Veeru Devgan popularly known as Ajay Devgan is a very famous actor in bollywood who was born on 2nd April, 1969 at New Delhi. He is son of a stunt choreographer Veeru Devgan and mother Veena Devgan. He has a brother named Anil Devgan who is a bollywood film director. He was a student of Bapu School in Juhu and done his graduation from Mithibai College. He is married to a popular actress Kajol on 24th February, 1999 and has a daughter Nysa Devgan who was born on 20th April,2003. Ajay Devgan is a National Film Award-winning actor who began his career as an action hero in early 1990s and since then he established himself as a serious and versatile actor in bollywood.

Ajay Devgan made his bollywood debut in the year 1991 in the movie ‘Phool Aur Kaante‘. He played the role of Amrish Puri’s son who has some disputes with his father. He won filmfare award for best debut category for this movie. Mostly he worked in the action movies in early stage of his career with director Deepak Bahry. One of his early movie is Ek Hi Raasta opposite to Raveena Tondon but soon he began starring in comedy movies like Ishq in 1997. His first biggest hit was ‘Pyar To Hona Hi Tha’ which was directed in 1998. His career took a new hight after this movie. He won several awards for his performance, including the coveted National Film Award for Best Actor and Star Screen Award Best Actor. His another hit was ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam‘ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 1999 opposite Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai.

He earned his second Star Screen Award Best Actor in 2002. Another movie The Legend of Bhagat Singh directed by Rajkumar Santoshi won him his second National Film Award for Best Actor. He played the title role in the critically acclaimed adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello, titled Omkara in 2006. He starred in Ram Gopal Varma’s Aag which was a major failure at the box office. Apart from acting he has also directed a movie ‘U Me Aur Hum’ which was released on 11th April, 2008. He starred opposite his wife Kajol in the movie. His latest movie in which he starred was Golmaal Returns which was a sequel of Golmaal and which also done well at the box office and earned a positive review from the critics and has created history in CI by collecting a circuit record for the first day. It has surpassed the first day totals of Om Shanti Om and Singh Is King.
