Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Raveena Tandon starrer “Aan – Men At Work” was directed by  Madhur Bhandarkar and  it was released on June 4, 2004. The movie was produced by Firoz Nadiadwala under the banner of Base Industries Group. Other casts of the movie are Shatrughan Sinha, Lara Dutta, Preeti Jhangiani, Jackie ShroffManoj Joshi, Irrfan Khan, Milind Gunaji, Rahul Dev, Reema Sen, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Ajinkya Deo, Anjan Srivastava, and Ravi Kishan. The music of the movie is directed by Anu Malik. Aan is a story which again talks about the tough life of a police officer mingled and trapped in the web woven by underworld and politicians. The story is of Mumbai crime branch. Mumbai crime branch is on low side morally and socially. All the people from senior officer Vikram Singh ( Shatrudhan Sinha ) to inspector Appa Naik ( Sunil Shetty ) to constable Khalid ( Paresh Rawal ) have given up, to the system. Appa Naik is encounter specialist who thinks criminals need to be executed at first sight. Khalid is ok with his conditions and happy in whatever he is getting from corruption. They all think that nothing can change the whole system.

The city has three powerful people who rule it. One is Manik Rao ( Manoj Joshi ). He is the home minister. And has law in his control. Second is underworld don Yusuf Pathan ( Irfan Khan ). He is a pal of Manik Rao. Third person is a business Gautam Walia ( Jackie shroff ),  who has common hands with both of them. Together the three controls the city and its functioning. But all get changed when DCP Hari Om Patnaik get posted in Mumbai from Pune. He is a very honest man and wants to change the system. All the officers supported him but resentfully. An opportunity to nab the crime rate comes when Manik Rao get business man Ajit Pradhan ( Milind Gunaji ) killed by Yusuf  Pathan’s Younger brother. The movie is nicely made with correct balance of comedy and seriousness. Akshay did fine acting and Sunil shetty was also good. Shatrudhan Sinha still has got some thing. The movie was quite entertaining.
