Jackie Shroff, Amrita Singh, Juhi Chawla and Deepak Tijori starred movie ‘Aaina’ is a romantic family movie which was directed by Deepak Sareen. The movie was released on 31st May, 1993 under the banner of Aditya Films. Other starcast included Saeed Jaffrey, Maya Alagh, Dina Pathak, Vikas Anand, Yunus Parvez and Veerendra Saxena in significant roles. The movie was produced by Pamela Chopra and Mr. Vivek Burman. The story and screenplay of the movie were written by Honey Irani whereas dialogues were written by Dr. Rahi Masoom Reza. The music of the movie was scored by Sameer Sen and Dilip Sen and Asha Bhosle, Pamela Chopra, Lata Mangeshkar, Kumar Sanu, Jolly Mukherjee etc sang the songs. Movie starts with Mr. Gupta who lives a wealthy lifestyle alongwith his wife and two daughters named Roma (Amrita Singh) and Reema (Juhi Chawla). Roma is elder than Reema and when they are young she also has a competative spirit in her. She always wants to be first in everything. But once that does not happens when she loses a competetion with her sister. Bur Reema relinquishes the title and lets Roma keep the winner’s crown. But Roma does not wants Reema to be ahead of her. This sibling rivalry continues even when both of them grows up. Once Reema sees a handsome and wealthy man named Ravi Saxena (Jackie Shroff) and falls in love with him. Soon Roma comes to know about Reema’s love affair and she decides to attract Ravi towards her.

She manages to convince him by using all her charms that they are made for each other. Soon Ravi falls in love with Roma and later they decide to marry soon. The day of marriage arrives and that day Roma gets a lucrative offer to act in movies which she quickly accepts. Ravi gets annoyed and announces that he hates Roma and eventually marries Reema. Reema feels that Ravi still has not forgotten Roma. Later Roma comes back and blames her sister for snatching her true love away. She also refuses to return till Ravi does not accepts her as his bride. Here Reema has a slight hope that this time Ravi does not succumb to Roma’s charms but still afraids if he accepts her.
