Govinda, Sonali Bendre and Shilpa Shetty starred movie ‘Aag’ is an action and adventure packed drama movie which was directed by K. Ravi Shankar. The movie was released on 12th August, 1994 under the banner of Tina Films International. Other starcast included Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Vikas Anand, Suresh Chatwal, Avtar Gill, Mohnish Bahl, Gulshan Grover, Kader Khan, Goga Kapoor etc in important roles. The movie was produced by A. Krishnamurthy and K. Ramya whereas the story of the movie was written by Satish Jain. Music of the movie was given by famous Sameer Sen and Dilip Sen whereas songs were sang by Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik etc. Hit songs of the movie are listed below:

Movie starts with Raju (Govinda) who lives a poor lifestyle alongwith his young sister named Laxmi. Both the brother and sister became orphan at very young age. Since then, he has raised his sister. Also Raju is studying in a college where he comes across a beautiful and attractive fellow collegian named Parul (Sonali Bendre). Later after a few encounters with another fellow-collegian named Bobby (Mohnish Bahl), both of them fall in love with each other. Parul is living a leavish lifesyle alongwith her uncle named Jagpal (Avtar Gill) who has arrange her marriage with another person, Police Inspector Suryadev Singh (Shakti Kapoor). Later she refuses to marry him.

After sometime, Suryadev comes to know that Parul has refused to marry him due to Raju. He quickly arrests Raju on a charge of murder and holds him in his cell where he beats him mercilessly. Later Laxmi comes and dramatically helps Raju escape so as to prevent Parul from being forcibly married to Suryadev. He reaches to the location where he comes to know that Parul has comitted suicide. Also he becomes helpless when Suryadev brutally rapes his sister and leaves her in a mentally unstable condition. Later he goes to another village where he changes his name to Birju so that nobody can identifies him. there he meets with another belle named Bijli (Shilpa Shetty) who has fallen in love with him.
