Salman Khan and Kajol starrer romantic drama “Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya” was released under the banner of G S Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. on March 27, 1998. The movie Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya comes with a refreshing story that is directed by young director Sohail Khan. The story of the movie revolves around the life of Suraj ( Salman Khan ) and Muskaan ( Kajol ). Suraj is a city boy whose father is very rich business man but he has no time for his son, while Muskan is a small town girl from the Thakur family that consists of her brother Thakur Vishal ( Arbaaz Khan ) and Chachu Thakur Ajay Singh ( Dharmendra ). After her insistence she is allowed to join a college in Mumbai where she met Suraj. Suraj lost his heart for her at the very first sight.

Son they became friends with each other. One day when Vishal came to meet his sister, Suraj attacked him thinking he is some guy hitting on her. In return Vishal bashed him up and took Muskaan along back to their village. Suraj took the bold decision to get his love back, so he took the difficult journey to Muskaan’s village. When he reached there Vishal forced him out, while on his way he saved Chachu from an accident, he took Suraj back home along with him. During his stay at the Thakur’s place he expressed his love to Muskaan and she reciprocated positively, while all the opposition came from Vishal.
