Rahul Bose, Paresh Rawal and Mallika Sherawat starrer comedy flick “Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam” was released on August 22, 2008. The movie is directed by ace director Sanjay Chhel and produced under the banner of Venus Records & Tapes. Other star cast of the movie includes  Kay Kay Menon, Pawan Malhotra, Zakir Hussain, Manoj Tiwari, Tanaz Currim, Aditya Lakhia and Manoj Joshi. The popular music of the movie is directed and composed by famous music director Anu Malik. The songs of the movie are sung by Shaan, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Anushka Manchandani, Kunal Ganjawala, Pankaj Udhas, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Aftab Hashmi Sabri, Anu Malik and Alisha Chinoy.

Inspired by the legendary comedy Jane Bhi Do Yaroo, Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam is the latest comedy from the kitty of renowned director Sanjay Chhel. The movie is full of laughter packed scenes. The movie is based on a theatre group based in Goa. The lead actors showed a great chemistry and perfect timing during the comedy scenes. The Kalakar Theatre Company is based in the small town of St. Louise, near Goa, the theatre group performs the same old play of Mughal-e-Aazam every time the go on to the stage. One day the town goes on a red alert due to the arrival of illegal weapons like RDX, and other arms on the coast.

Soon the members of the theatre company came to know that a underworld don is planning to plant bombs all over the country. So, all the members take the job of saving the country into their hands. They didn’t involve the police but started on their own. The story is very good at times but not always. The director has filled the movie with too many plots love triangle, terrorism, patriotism, the unraveling theater group etc this confuses the movie a bit. There is no continuity in the pace of the movie sometimes it is too slow while very fast at times. The lead trio of Paresh Rawal, Rahul and Mallika has performed brilliantly in the movie specially Paresh with his great sense of comedy and perfect timing. The movie is not a great success but is gud for a total knockout humor.
