Multi starrer family drama “Waqt - Race Against Time” starred Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. The movie is directed by Vipul Shah under the banners of Blockbuster Movie Entertainers, Entertainment One and Eros Entertainment. Other cast of the movie includes Boman Irani, Rajpal Yadav, Shefali Chhaya, Anu Malik and Benjamin Gilani who have played prominent roles in the movie. Waqt- Vipual Shah enterprise came on when bollywood was going through a bad phase. The movie attracted the attention of the average Indian movie goers with a very emotional and sensitive story, the movie is based on a popular Guajarati play Aavjo Vhala Fari Malishu. The movie revolves around the family of Ishwar ( Amitabh Bachchan ), owner of a big toy company in India. His family includes his wife Sumi ( Shefali Shah ) and their son Aditya ( Akshay Kumar ). Aditya was very irresponsible spoiled brat. Without even taking the concent of his parents, he took a big decision of his life, that was marrying his lover Pooja ( Priyanka Chopra ).

As he brought his wife to his home, Ishwar thought that after marrying Aditya would settle down in his life and become more responsible. But Aditya was unchanged, he was accustomed to the lavish lifestyle and never understood the value of money. After many efforts to change Adi, Ishwar was forced to throw him out of his house. Slowly Adi started taking responsibility of his wife who was pregnant. He started working as a stuntman in bollywood to earn his living and at the same time kept preparing for the talent hunt show which would give him a platform to showcase his talent. As Adi was busy with his work, Ishwar came to know that he was suffering from cancer. Will Adi be able to succeed in his life? Would he be able to save his father and remove the rift between them?
